LOAN WATCH: Kioso and Osho suffer relegation to League Two

Luton duo Peter Kioso and Gabriel Osho both suffered League One relegation for their on-loan clubs at the weekend.

Kioso was part of the Northampton side who had to beat Blackpool at home to give themselves any chance of safety going into the final game of the season, only to suffer a 3-0 defeat.

The right back, who was also booked, saw early claims for a penalty turned down, before the Tangerines opened the scoring on 19 minutes, Luke Garbutt beating former Hatter loanee Jonathan Mitchell from a tight angle

After the break, Mitchell was at fault once more, fumbling Ellis Simms’ shot allowing Jerry Yates to finish from close range, as the visiting attacker added his second late to confirm the Cobblers dropped out of the third tier after just one season.

It was the same scenario for Osho at Rochdale too, as they hosted Doncaster Rovers in need of a victory.

The visitors broke the deadlock through Taylor Richards, who then added a second just 10 minutes after the break.

Matty Done pulled one back with seven minutes to go, but Dale couldn’t find an equaliser as they were relegated to League Two.

There was happier news for attacker Elliot Lee who was on target for Oxford United as they kept their play-off ambitions alive going into the final day next weekend with a 3-2 win at Shrewsbury Town.

Lee broke the deadlock inside three minutes, tapping into an empty net for his fifth goal since moving to the U’s back in February.

Matthew Pennington levelled the score before Josh Vela made it 2-1 it the Shrews, but after the break, Oxford, who had to win, stepped it up with Lee’s effort blocked.

The Town attacker had a hand in his side’s 68th minute equaliser though, with James Henry smashing home.

Lee prodded a chance over, before with five minutes to go, United won it thanks to Daniel Agyei as United now need to beat Burton Albion next weekend and hope other results go their way to make the top six.

Attacker Josh Neufville started as Yeovil won on their travels for the first time since March with a 2-0 victory at Wealdstone in the National League.

It took 15 minutes for the visitors to move in front, Tom Knowles hammering home, as they added a second just eight minutes later, Joe Quigley netting with a cool finish.

After the break, Town went close to a third through Neufville whose driving runs became a theme for the Glovers, almost combining with Reuben Reid only to see his effort blocked.
