Peter Kioso prepares to take a throw-in against MK Dons

Town defender Peter Kioso scored his first goal for Northampton Town as they suffered a last-gasp 4-3 defeat at MK Dons in League One on Saturday.

The visitors had got to the perfect start at Stadium:MK when Fraser Horsfall volleyed home, before Andrew Surman equalised with a stunning left-footed strike.

Northampton, with ex-Hatters Lloyd Jones and Jonathan Mitchell in their side, then fell behind when Will Grigg (34) was on target.

After the break Ryan Watson made it 2-2 within the opening 60 seconds, while the Cobblers then led again on 78 minutes as Kioso found the net following Mark Marshall’s free kick.

However, Cameron Jerome made it 3-3 five minutes later and Charlie Brown won it for the Dons with time running out.

Former Luton captain Alan Sheehan came off the bench, only to see his effort saved by Andrew Fisher.

Defender Gabriel Osho started for Rochdale as they held Plymouth Argyle to a 0-0 draw.

The Luton player was replaced at the start of the second half by Ryan McLaughlin as the spoils were shared.

Attacker Elliot Lee played for just over an hour as Oxford United held Ipswich Town to a goalless draw at Portman Road.

Attacker Josh Neufville was in the Yeovil Town side who were beaten 2-1 at Hartlepool United late on in their National League contest.

Neufville was involved in a fine chance early on, as his pass set Rhys Murphy away only for the hosts defence to recover well.

After the break, Tom Knowles hammered home a marvellous 30-yard effort into the top corner as the Glovers led with 54 minutes gone.

Pools hit back though, Luke Armstrong drawing them level with 72 minutes played and Gavan Holohan turning the ball home for a later winner.

Goalkeeper Harry Isted could do nothing to prevent Wealdstone from falling to a heavy 4-1 defeat at promotion-chasing Sutton United.

Isaac Olaofe put the hosts ahead on 20 minutes, before the Stones were reduced to 10 men when Ashley Charles was dismissed for a second booking.

The title-challengers took immediate advantage of having the extra man, scoring twice before the break through Ben Goodliffe and Louis John.

In the second period, Danny Parish pulled one back on 55 minutes, but Sutton made sure of the points when Tobi Sho-Silva found the net late on.
