LOAN WATCH: Lafayette praised after Cards debut

Striker Ross Lafayette was praised by Woking boss Gary Hill after making his debut during the 0-0 Vanarama Conference Premier draw against Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

The forward played 74 minutes before being replaced by ex-Town frontman Scott Rendell, as Hill told BBC Surrey: “I thought he did well, which gives us encouragement especially when we’ve had Scott Rendell out.

“It’s difficult to get a hold-up striker to replace Scott but Ross has done well and I’m happy overall.”

Andy Parry also had his first start for former club Southport, as they drew 0-0 with Chester City.

Striker Zane Banton came off the bench to score for Hemel Hempstead Town late on as they hammered Farnborough 4-1 in Conference South.

Midfielder Charlie Smith played the final six minutes as St Albans City were 2-0 winners over Concord Rangers

Mark Onyemah scored his first Hampton & Richmond goal as they defeated Harrow Borough 2-1 in the Ryman Premier Division.

Trailing 1-0, Onyemah netted on 88 minutes, with the winner coming from Matt Drage moments later.

Defender Brett Longden played the full game as Arlesey Town won 3-2 at Frome Town in their Southern League Premier Division contest.

Hatters youngster Tuki Tayali started for Barton Rovers as they beat North Greenford United 2-0 in Southern League Division One Central.
