LOAN WATCH: Lee starts as Oxford hammer six past Crewe

Luton attacker Elliot Lee started as Oxford United thrashed Crewe Alexandra 6-0 at Gresty Road in League One on Saturday to equal their record away win.

The visitors took the lead on 37 minutes, when Josh Ruffels headed home and added two more before the break, James Henry and Elliott Moore on target.

United didn’t let up in the second period, Brandon Barker and Cameron Brannagan netting in quick succession as Lee went off just after the hour mark, with Sam Winnall making it 6-0 late on.

He is hoping to feature in the trip to Peterborough this weekend, as boss Jon Brady said: "Pete's struggling and his groin isn't great at the moment.

“We tried with a fitness test on Saturday morning but it wasn't any good.
