Luton attacker Josh Neufville scored his fifth goal for Yeovil Town as they eased to a 3-1 National League win over Barnet on Saturday.

The hosts led early on against a Bees side who are struggling badly this term, sitting second bottom, Tom Knowles firing into the net from 25 yards following Neufville’s pass.

It was 2-0 on 24 minutes when Lee’s excellent angled volley found the bottom corner, before Neufville got in on the act with 34 minutes gone, waltzing through the defence to shoot past keeper Aymen Azaze from the edge of the box, netting his first goal since the 4-1 win at Barnet earlier this month.

After the break, the Bees pulled one back when Thenisoklis Kafalas headed home on 68 minutes, as Neufville was replaced by Emmanuel Sonupe, with the Glovers climbing to 12th in the table.

Town defender Peter Kioso started for Northampton Town as they were beaten 1-0 by fellow relegation rivals AFC Wimbledon in League One.

Chances were few and far between in the first half, former Luton loanee Jonathan Mitchell saving well from Ryan Longman.

The second period saw the Luton full back head wide from another set-piece but with two minutes left, another ex-Hatter Joe Pigott found the net when Kioso’s clearance rebounded back off him.

Kioso was then involved at the other end as he was fouled in the area only to see Sam Hoskins’ penalty saved by Dons keeper Nikola Tzanev.

Neither Gabriel Osho or Elliot Lee were in action for Rochdale and Oxford, but last Tuesday night, Harry Isted started as Wealdstone lost 1-0 at home to Woking, Moussa Diarra’s 86th minute winner enough to decide the contest.
