Hatters Town chief Nathan Jones is hoping to convince the parent clubs of his loan stars to allow their players to remain at Kenilworth Road for the remainder of the Championship season.

Luton have borrowed four players this term, centre half Cameron Carter-Vickers from Spurs, Chelsea midfielder Izzy Brown, Aston Villa defender James Bree and Manchester City youngster Luke Bolton.

All bar Bolton have played a part in the two games back since lockdown with Carter-Vickers in particular excellent and Brown setting up James Collins’ winner at Swansea City on Saturday.

With that in mind, Jones hopes they will be available for the final seven fixtures, with Town making a real fist of their battle to stay in the second tier, as he said: “We’ve managed to agree with all of the out of contract players to extend their contracts and we’ve spoken to all the players that are on loan and they all want to stay.

“It’s just about making sure that we can agree that with the clubs.

“We’ve got a little bit of time to do that, but we want to do that to keep everyone together.”
