Luton believed to be interested in MK Dons striker

Luton Town are believed to be preparing a bid for MK Dons striker Sam Nombe.

After news of the Hatters' interest in Nombe broke on social media, the MK Citizen is now reporting that a deal is close to being finalised.The 21-year-old joined the club's academy at U11 level, going on to sign professional terms in May 2017.

He made his competitive debut in that season, before having loan spells with both Oxford City and Maidenhead United.

Nombe returned to MK Dons though and started last season in fine form, with four goals in three games, although only netted once more afterwards.

He has made seven appearances this term, scoring once, making it 46 games and six goals so far.
