The skipper was forced off against Northampton last weekend with a tight hamstring, as speaking to the press this afternoon, boss John Still said: “We’ll see tomorrow. He’s trained today, it’s the reaction for tomorrow really.”

On Luton’s other injury concerns, Still continued: “(Jake) Howells has trained today, but I don’t think so. (Mark), Tyler’s trained, he’s not ready yet.

“(Pelly) Ruddock not ready yet, (Scott) Griffiths not ready yet, Elliot Lee not ready yet.

“(Jonathan) Smith and (Nathan) Doyle have trained, but once again we’ll see tomorrow how they’ve responded to training.

“The ones we probably wouldn’t play because they’re short of fitness, we’re thinking lets play them and get them as fit as we can as quick as we can.

“Then they might be fit for the last few games and we might win them and do it (make the play-offs).”

Meanwhile, despite heading into the game on the back of six straight defeats and eight losses in nine games, Still wouldn’t be altering his preparation.

He added: “The atmosphere in training is first class, everyone’s working as hard as they can.

“I think the only way we will address this is everyone getting a little bit fitter and working hard enough to try and get a favourable result.

“We’ve trained okay this week and the easy answer is to say we miss and have missed too many important players, but the ones that are in there, although might be lacking a bit of fitness, we just need them to do a little bit better.

“These players are going to experience more lows than more highs, because it’s football. Only one team can win a league, so it’s a lot of disappointment and if you can’t handle disappointment it can affect you.

“So you have to learn to handle disappointment as well as you learn to handle the successes. Highs and lows are an important part of football.

“It was no different this year, we wanted to win the league, we’ve gone from wanting to win the league, to wanting to get up. That’s the next goal, let’s see if we can do that.”
