The summer signing from Boston United has had to bide his time since moving to Kenilworth Road, spending the last six weeks on loan at Dover Athletic.

But he was recalled on Thursday and thrown straight in against Hartlepool after an injury to Alex Lawless, while he kept his place for the 3-1 win over Dagenham on Tuesday.

Miller said: “Ideally I’d have liked to hit the ground running and get in the team straight away, but it wasn’t to be. I’ve been getting my match fitness up at Dover and everything’s for a reason.

“The team’s been winning, so you can’t really change a winning team.

“But I’ve been able to get minutes under my belt, keep my fitness levels high and hopefully show the gaffer what I’m capable of.

“Patience is not my best attribute, but hopefully I’ve done enough to prove how I can be a good squad member.”

Miller impressed on the left of Town’s attack and it was from his free fick that Jim Stevenson netted the crucial second goal, while he was thrilled to achieve his goal of starting in the Football League.
