The Hatters had fallen behind in Wales, Andy Holt scoring on 31 minutes, but levelled through Curtis Davies' first goal for the club (52), sealing the points just seven minutes later, courtesy of Chris Coyne's thumping header. 5. CB: Chris Coyne
Aussie centre half formed a fine partnership with Davies at the back for Luton playing 40 times. Managed five goals too, as he bagged the all-important strike at the Racecourse Ground, heading home Nicholls free kick.
6. MF: Kevin Nicholls
Midfielder set up the winner for Town as his deep free kick was powered home by Coyne. Hugely influential on and off the pitch, adding an excellent 12 goals from his 44 appearances.
7. MF: Ahmet Brkovic
Croatian finished second top scorer for Luton during the season, bagging 15 goals from his 42 games, including braces in wins over Blackpool, Bradford City and Bristol City.
8. MF: Peter Holmes
Came in for the run-in, as he started nine of the last 11 games with Hatters losing just once in that time. Played 19 matches in total, scoring three goals, against Bristol City, Swindon and Torquay.
