The 24-year-old has made seven appearances since moving to Moss Lane, helping Alty to two wins in that time.

Meanwhile, midfielder Matt Robinson will return to Kenilworth Road after Grimsby manager Paul Hurst confirmed he wouldn’t be renewing his loan deal.

Speaking to the Grimsby Telegraph, Hurst said: “Matt’s going to go back to Luton, but we thank him for his efforts while he was here.

“With having Craig Clay back and hoping that he can get back to the kind of form he’s shown for us in the past, and promising signs with Scott Brown’s recovery it would be unfair to ask Matt to stay for any longer.”

Robinson has made seven appearances, scoring on his debut, but has been on the bench for the last two matches.
