Potts points to a change in mentality for the Hatters this season
Luton defender Dan Potts believes there has been a 'mentality switch' within the Hatters squad this season.
Last term it was all about Championship survival for the Hatters, a feat they eventually managed on the final day by beating Blackburn Rovers, having looked for long periods like they would suffer relegation.

Tuesday night’s 0-0 draw at Coventry moved Luton on to 23 points, nine ahead of where they were at this stage last term, climbing to within five points of the play-offs and 12 clear of the bottom three, ahead of tonight's round of games.
Potts, who has recently worked his way back into the side after injury, said: “I think there’s been a mentality switch this year, it's reflected in not only the performances, but the results we’re picking up away from home and at home.
"I think there has been a mentality switch throughout the club and we want to finish as high as we can this year.

Although Town couldn’t pick up a victory at the Sky Blues last night, keeping a clean sheet after conceding six goals in their two trips to Wales, beaten 4-0 by Cardiff and 2-0 by Swansea, was something that full back Potts was eager to talk up.
He continued: “I think a 0-0 point is better than a 1-1 or 2-2, off the back of the defeat at the weekend,
"We came here, the priority was probably the clean sheet and we knew we’d get chances, but that was the minimum tonight.

"If you come here and get the three points you're happy, from a personal point, a clean sheet is always good, but we would have liked the three points.”
Although Town had their moments, they could only send one shot at Ben Wilson’s goal all evening, that a tame effort through Harry Cornick that the keeper fielded easily.
Potts added: “I thought we had better chances than them, especially first half.

"We knew we had a solid foundation to build on, that was the game-plan, we tried to get that first goal, it didn’t come, so the next best thing is to make sure they don’t score which I thought we did well.”
