With the Championship campaign beginning this evening, then it's time to predict just how the final table could look in May. Who will come out on top? Will the Hatters finish higher than last season's position of 19th? And who will go down? See below to find out how the Luton News Hatters' reporter Mike Simmonds thinks it will end.
21. Sheffield Wednesday
Will start the season on minus 12 points, but still have more than enough to fight their way clear of relegation this season, with ex-Hatter Izzy Brown signing up, plus the arrivals of Windass, Dunkley and Kachunga.
22. Coventry City
Made a welcome return to the second tier once lockdown saw the League One season ended early. Boss Mark Robins has been busy in the window, but the step up to life in the Championship could prove just a bit too much.
23. Rotherham United
Back in the Championship this term, but it could well be a fleeting visit for Paul Warne’s side. Managed to add Sadlier, MacDonald and Harding to the ranks, but the Millers could find themselves in danger this term.
24. Wycombe Wanderers
Gareth Ainsworth has worked wonders to get Wycombe into the Championship, but surely it’s just for one season with the Chairboys lacking the depth of squad and budget to avoid anything but going straight back down.
