Rendell talks up Luton for new signing Marriott

Ex-Luton Town forward Scott Rendell was quick to give Hatters a glowing recommendation for recent signing Jack Marriott.

While on loan at Conference side Woking for parts the last two campaigns, Marriott was paired upfront with former Luton striker, who was Town’s FA Cup goalscoring hero against Norwich City in January 2013.

Marriott added: “I’m really, really good mates with Scott and have got a lot of time for him.

“I played with him in the two seasons when I was at Woking and as soon as I heard about the interest from Luton, he actually text me first.

“I’ve had a chat with him and he’s a top man and always said ‘Luton are a top club’, and hopefully I’ll do really well there.”
