After a wonderful great escape by the Hatters as they stayed in the Championship against all the odds, Luton fans have chosen their Goal of the Season. The Luton News ran a online poll recently in which fans had their say and to see just which strike was crowned winner, see the results, in ascending order, below.
1. Andrew Shinnie: Huddersfield (H) - 1%
The Terriers defence made the mistake of allowing Shinnie to turn on to his supposed weaker left foot and could then only watch as Luton's midfielder superbly curled home his only goal of the season from 20 yards.
2. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: Charlton Athletic (H) - 1%
Yet another 'banger' to add to his collection, the midfielder crashed home a loose ball first time on his left foot to draw Luton level against their relegation rivals.
3. Martin Cranie: Brentford (H) - 1%
Defender made it the most prolific season of his career by scoring a second goal when thumping home Town's second of their superb 2-1 win over play-off finalists Brentford.
4. Callum McManaman: Preston North End (H) - 1%
Attacker came off the bench to rescue Luton a point in their first game back after lockdown, taking James Bree's pass to advance into the box and rifle home.
