After a season in which Town stayed in the Championship thanks in part to the efforts of three loan signings, Cameron Carter-Vickers, James Bree and Izzy Brown, it was time for Hatters fans to pick just who is the best player they have ever borrowed. The Luton News ran a poll selecting 15 of the top temporary arrivals and to see who was crowned the winner, see the results, in ascending order, below.
13. Joint second: Andre Gray - 14%
Joined Luton on loan from Hinckley United in March 2012, scoring in his first four games and managing seven in 12 matches as although Luton lost out in the play-off final, he signed permanently for just £30,000.
14. Joint second: Rory Allen - 14%
Spurs forward moved to Luton in March 1997, scoring six goals in just eight games for Town. Returned to White Hart Lane though, as he then headed to Portsmouth for £1m, but injury forced him to retire at the age of 25.
15. First: Cameron Carter-Vickers - 28%
USA centre half joined Luton from Spurs in the January transfer window last season. Made 16 appearances as his rock solid displays at the back were a huge part in the Hatters escaping relegation on the final day.
