Rooney happy to be amongst the goals for Hatters
The 24-year-old was handed his second successive start for the 2-2 draw at Accrington Stanley on Saturday, impressing once more, while netting his second goal of the campaign too, with a lovely curling effort
Rooney said: “It was pleasing as it was my second goal of the season and only my second league start too.

“But it’s not about me scoring goals, it’s about the team getting results and we haven’t quite managed to get the result we wanted.”
Rooney came close to doubling his tally, with a long range effort moments later that was saved by Jay Lynch, a strike he thought was destined for the net.
