Still said: “I think we’ll get stronger. Are here going to be blips on the way? Of course there are as that’s football, but by and large the team’s going to grow and get a bit stronger.

“We’ve certainly got into that moving the ball quickly and at a good tempo, we’ve adapted to times where you’ve got to be patient and haven’t got Paul (Benson) up there you can hit for longer.

“We’ve been finding ways to win, we’ve not found goals particularly away from home difficult to get, we’ve been converting chances.

“There’s a bit more expectation at home, teams come and particularly when they play the so called bigger teams are not very adventurous.

“This is where having people like Paddy (McCourt) who we haven’t got Saturday and Luke Guttridge, I think Ryan Hall and Danny Green too, who can find a cross, find a pass to make a difference and I think we have that in us.”

After racking up the miles with trips to Morecambe, Hartlepool and Gillingham in their last three matches, Still was relieved to be back at Kenilworth Road today.

The boss reflected on a good 10 days on the road too, adding: “It’s always good to play at home, particularly when you’ve had long journeys.

“At this stage of the season, with the pitches in good condition, weather not bad, we’ve done Accrington, Morecambe and Hartlepool already, so I’m quite pleased with that.

“You’re always happier when you’re winning games home or away, but to do the amount of travelling we’ve done, to win the games and score the goals we’ve done, it couldn’t be better for us.”
