Goals from Luke Guttridge, Paul Benson, Ricky Miller and Jake Howells saw Town progress against their League Two counterparts as the manager said: “It was a proper cup tie, I loved it, the weather, conditions.

“We changed our system, played three centre halves, we’ve messed around with it a little bit, so it’s another step further forward when we need to do it.

“We need to iron some things out with it, but as we know in the FA Cup from Exeter, you’ve just got to win.

“We’ve scored four goals at home, next round of the FA Cup, I’ve got to be pleased with that.

“I want to win all the games and I’m not devaluing any competition. This year the league is vital as it was last year, but the FA Cup is very very, very, very, very important.”

Hatters had been pegged back twice in the second half, but eventually had too much firepower for the Exiles as Still added: “We worked our socks off, we never gave up, kept going and we scored four goals, we had some pleasing aspects.

“In the second half, there were two teams that wanted to attack.

“We said at half time, I just had a feeling there will be goals this half, I hope there’s not too many for them as as I felt that cup games are different to league games.

“This is the FA Cup, form doesn’t always follow. Sometimes I say, when it comes to the league, you’ve got to have consistency, when it comes to the cup, just try and win and we’ve won in an entertaining second half for everybody.”
