Although Town, who have still got to get past Bury first in a replay on Tuesday night, saw fellow League Two side AFC Wimbledon draw Premier League giants Liverpool, the Luton chief felt it was a great chance to progress even further in the competition.

He said: “If we all wrote the script it would be different, but this is football. We’re not going to use that as an excuse for anything, it’s another game, we’ll go and play it.

“I look at it like this. We’ve got to play two teams from our own league, we do all right in this league.

“If we do all right in that, the chances of us getting a really, really good one are pretty high, so I’m quite positive about it.”

Although Hatters’ replay against the Shakers at Kenilworth Road come just three days after the lengthy trip to Morecambe on Saturday, Still confirmed he would be choosing his strongest side available, as he did at Gigg Lane.

He added: “I’m not going to get into squad rotation for the FA Cup and league games, I’m going to pick my strongest team for the game.

“With the FA Cup, we’re going to really give it a proper go and the Saturday, Tuesday effect is no problem, so we won’t have to leave players out because they’re tired. We’ll be as strong as we can be in both games.
