Still readies himself for ‘dangerous’ period

“With 13 games to go, teams are going, ‘we need to win two or three to get away from that bottom group’, or ‘we only need to win two or three on the trot to get into that top group’ and it really is a dangerous time of the season.

“A couple of weeks ago, Burton were getting the better of everyone and all of a sudden, Burton have lost a couple on the trot. Shrewsbury lost on Saturday and we’re at that time of the season where it happens, so pressures come into it.”

Bury have signalled their intent to progress as a club off the field by reaching an agreement to lease Manchester City’s former training ground in Carrington from March 1.

Meanwhile, on the pitch, the Shakers are unbeaten in five and haven’t lost at home since November 29.

Still added: “Bury are really starting to have a go. I’ve been told they’ve now going to this state of the art training ground that was Manchester City’s.

“If they’ve gone in there, they’re a club that means business as that’s an unbelievable complex, they’ve invested in players. They’ve probably not done as well as they would like to have done, but when we’ve played them, they’ve always looked like a decent team.”
