Still targeting three wins from final four

Hatters boss John Still feels three wins from Luton’s final four games of the season should be enough to secure a League Two play-off spot.

Still was speaking ahead of Luton’s trip to Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday night, with the Hatters three points behind seventh-placed Plymouth and two behind Newport in a tight battle for one of the four play-off places.

Still said: “I think we need to win three, whatever those three matches are we need to win three.

“It might be the first three or the last three, we don’t know but 70 or 71 points should get us in there, I don’t know.

“But you can never gauge it as teams can lose three as quickly as they win three, but you’ve got to look for that 70/71 point mark as that’s what I think.”

Town head to East London tomorrow on the back of a 1-0 defeat to top of the table Burton Albion on Saturday.

Dagenham & Redbridge are currently 15th in the table and although they have little to play for, Still is wary of the threat his former side will pose.

“There’s two ways of thinking of that,” added Still, who had two spells in charge of the Daggers. “They will either come out and go for it or try and make it difficult for us to not get beat.

“I know the majority of their players and they’re good professional hard-working people and one thing they won’t do is let Luton win, so whatever we’ll do we have to earn it.”
