The Minstermen full back has started every match since his move to Bootham Crescent in the summer, and is a player well known to Still, who signed him from Ashford Town for former club Dagenham & Redbridge in 2010.

Still said: “One of our old players is there, Femi Ilesanmi, from Dagenham.

“When we brought him into the club, he couldn’t head it, couldn’t trap it, couldn’t kick it.

“But he was strong and powerful, very strong and very powerful. It’s good to see he did well at Dagenham, and got a move there, so I’m looking forward to seeing him.”

York have made an indifferent start to the campaign, as they drew their opening five games, before winning one and losing against Burton Albion at the weekend.

On the threats they possess, Still continued: “I think it’s quite a team effort that they’ve got going there.

“(John) McCombe at the back has always been a steady eddie at the level.

“I’ve always liked him as he is what he is, a proper defender and I like defenders who know how to defend.

Jake Hyde, I don’t think he’s featured that much from Barnet last year and always thought he was okay.

“The boy (Michael) Coulson upfront, is another one who whenever I’ve seen him has looked a handful.

“I think they’ve got quite a team ethic there, I wouldn’t say they’ve got outstanding individuals, but a strong, competitive team.”

Meanwhile, York boss Nigel Worthington, the former Northern Ireland manager, wasn’t someone who Still had a great deal of previous knowledge on as he added: “Not really no. But he went in there, steadied the ship for them.

“He’s an experienced manager and did a good job, so I’m sure his team will be well prepared.”
