Blackman, 25, is a left-sided player who has spent time at the likes Arsenal, Spurs and Portsmouth as a youth player, plus Bristol City, AFC Wimbledon, Celtic, Inverness, Plymouth and most recently Blackpool, where he was released from in the summer.

Winger Karagiannis is flying this year for Ryman Premier Division side Leatherhead, scoring 15 goals in 23 games so far, including a hat-trick inside 36 minutes against Lewes recently.

Still said: “We’ll probably keep monitoring. They’ve both been in this week, we’ll have a chat with the staff this afternoon or maybe tomorrow morning before training, and decide where we go with it.

“They’ve both looked all right. One’s got a really good pedigree and one’s really from nowhere. We’re all quite pleased with what we’ve seen training and the game.”

The Luton chief admitted it was tricky for a trialist to make an immediate impact at a club in such a short space of time, as he continued: “It’s difficult. Someone comes in training and doesn’t really know anyone, they come in for technically four days and you’ve got to make a decision.

“You’ve got to be a magician to make a decision really but I think what it is, is when they come in, to eliminate or not.

“We probably would not eliminate, so we’ll monitor for now. We can’t do too much until January, but certainly between now and January, we’ll look at it really closely I would think.”

When the transfer window does open, Still is anticipating movement both in and out of Kenilworth Road as he looks to fine-tune is squad for the run-in.

He added: “There is a type of player that if it was available, we’d possibly do it, but we still have people here that are on the transfer list and you still have to balance books.

“I know Matt Robinson is out on loan, (Andy) Parry has been out on loan, he’s back now, but chances are he’ll go back out.

“We’ve still got Jake (Howells), so I think it’s also time to move people the other way.

“I would like it if I could over the next few weeks that comes up to transfer window, have one or two things outgoing and something that would become possible incoming.

“It isn’t at the moment, but that’s not to say it won’t be in January. There is a type we would probably look to take but we do still need move two or three the other way.”
