Luton boss Nathan Jones has confirmed he is looking to bolster his squad ahead of their Carabao Cup first round clash against Norwich a week on Saturday.

So far, Town have made just one addition over the summer, Accrington Stanley midfielder Jordan Clark arriving on a free transfer.

However, speaking after a third pre-season victory last night, beating National League side Wealdstone 3-0, Jones admitted he was hoping to bring in some more fresh faces, saying: “They’re really good tests at the minute, we’re stepping that up again the weekend (against Northampton), then it leads into the Norwich game.

“So I’m pleased where we are, we need to step it up and get one or two additions, which we're working very hard to get, so hopefully we can do that.”

Clark himself was up and running in a Luton shirt during last night’s win, curling a sumptuous left-footed effort into the net to make it 2-0.

Jones added: “Hes missed a couple of days, he played 45 minutes (against Stevenage), but didn't quite look his bright and busy self.

“Tonight he was back at it, so it's really good to see that as he’s a player we really like, and it was a wonderful, wonderful finish.”
