Town chief will discuss Spurs defender Carter-Vicker's future when season is over

Hatters boss Nathan Jones isn’t giving any thought about the future of on-loan Spurs defender Cameron Carter-Vickers while the club are embroiled in a Championship relegation battle.

The 22-year-old has a year left on his lucrative deal with the Premier League side, but has excelled in his shirt time at Kenilworth Road, with Town keeping three of their five clean sheets this season during his nine appearances.

Jones is a big fan of the USA international, as he beat Luton to the centre half's signature when in charge of Stoke earlier in the season, but any chats about where he will play his footbal next term are on hold until the current campaign is finished.

Jones said: “I just see a seven game future for him here and then we’ll see where we are.

"Cam’s done brilliant, I signed him at Stoke as well to be fair, he’s a player I know.

"He fits in really well, has great attributes, complements what we have here very, very well as we have very aggressive centre halves, but he’s a real mobile, quick one.

"So I think he's done really well, but it’s all about continuing development.”
