Luton goalkeeper Harry Isted has re-joined National League side Wealdstone on loan until January.

The 23-year-old played an important role in the Stones' title-winning campaign as the claimed the Vanarama National League South last term when the campaign was ended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

On loan between November until February, Isted kept an impressive six clean sheets and was voted as December Player of the Month by supporters.

During the Hatters’ 3-0 friendly win over Wealdstone a few weeks ago, Isted was given permission to play for the Stones with a view to returning to the Grosvenor Vale Stadium.

The former Stoke City keeper, how has two senior Luton appearances under his belt since joining in July 2017, could make his debut this afternoon in a friendly against Havant & Waterlooville and speaking to the Stones' official website, he said: "It feels great to be back, especially after the success we had last season.

"It was great for the club to get what they deserved and be crowned champions going into the National League.

"I was delighted when I found out the news about winning the league.

"I stayed in contact with Kirk (Rayment, goalkeeper coach) and Dean (Brennan, manager) who said they would be happy to have me back this year and it was just about getting it over the line.

"The National League is a big platform for myself to perform and it's the highest level I've played.

"It will be good to get out there, do well for the team and hopefully catch the eye of people as well."
