Luton boss Nathan Jones has revealed that skipper Sonny Bradley is playing through the pain barrier for the Hatters this season.

The 29-year-old made his 33rd appearance of the campaign for Town on Tuesday night during the 1-1 draw with Millwall.

Bradley once again had his thigh strapped up for the contest though, as when asked if the captain was carrying an injury, Jones said: “He’s playing through pain and a bit of discomfort, but when you’re a defender you get used to these things, and after 30 games you’re not going to be fresh as a daisy.

“All good defenders that go through the mire and put their body on the line have niggles, have certain things that they have to go through, they’re taking anti inflammatory's for, and that’s just part and parcel.

“Sonny has strapping on his thigh as he has a tight thigh so it alleviates certain things.

“They have kinetic tape and things now which help them, so that's what it is.

“But if every fan knew what went on in a football club from Monday to Friday to get players fit for Saturday, then there would be a few shocks out there.”
