Town’s U18s book Terriers trip after defeating Gateshead

A late goal from striker Jemale McKenzie-Lowe saw Hatters U18s reach the third round of the FA Youth Cup with a 2-1 win at Gateshead last night.

With just four minutes remaining, the forward, who bagged a hit a hat-trick during Town’s development squad’s recent 7-5 win over AFC Dunstable, took advantage of some slack marking to fire home.

But Luton were level just before the break as Arel Amu was fouled 25 yards from goal and Charlie Smith curled a stunning free kick into the net.
