Tyler and Pilkington pen new deals with Town

GOALKEEPING duo Mark Tyler and Kevin Pilkington have put pen to paper on new 12-month deals with Luton Town, writes Mike Simmonds.

Tyler, 34, was the first-choice at Kenilworth Road last season, and has now made 94 appearances for the club, while Pilkington, 37, who enjoyed a spell on loan at Mansfield, was chosen for the FA Trophy games.

Town manager Gary Brabin told the club website: ”It’s fantastic that both Mark and Kevin have agreed to commit their immediate futures with Luton Town.

“Together they work hard in training and have an excellent relationship. They are always learning new things off one another.

“They have almost 1,000 games experience between them and I doubt there are many clubs that can boast that amount of experience and know-how.

”It’s great news and a statement of how much this club means to them that they want to stay here.”
