Strikers Danny Hylton and Sam Nombe were both on target as Luton U21s defeated Cambridge United 3-0 in a friendly clash at the Brache this afternoon.

The hosts, fielding a side containing a number of first teamers, including George Moncur and recent signing Kal Naismith, plus youngsters Corey Panter, Jake Peck and Joseph Halsey, went ahead through an own goal in the first half.

Hylton then produced an excellent finish in the second period, taking Naismith's pass and dummying both a defender and the U's goalkeeper, before finding the net via the inside of the post.

The scoring was then completed by Nombe, who collected a return pass in his stride, rounded the opposition stopper and tucked home.
