Walker felt Hatters should have claimed victory

HATTERS striker Jason Walker felt his side deserved more than the point they picked up against Wrexham on Saturday, writes Mike Simmonds.

Town left it late to equalise, thanks to Walker’senalty, but the hosts had countless chances in the second half, after the Red Dragons had named a much-changed side for the affair.

Walker said: “For the first 25 minutes they (Wrexham) were a really good team and they were passing the ball from back to front, but unfortunately for them, (Lee) Fowler went off.

“I was on the bench (to start with), but they were being like Barcelona trying to pass from the back.

“We’ve played them before and I’ve played them at Barrow, and never seen them do it like that.

“Maybe it was to throw us off, but it worked for them, they looked really good.

“After the first 25 minutes though, I thought we deserved the draw, if not the win as well.”
