Wall confirms Hatters departure

Luton Town striker Alex Wall has confirmed he is leaving the club after his contract expired.

The 24-year-old was manager John Still’s first signing when he took over back in March 2013, but has only played 35 times since, scoring seven goals.

Wall had loan spells with Dartford and Bristol Rovers too, making eight appearances for Town this term, netting a memorable winner at Stevenage back in October. However, this afternoon, the former Maidenhead forward tweeted: “Gutted to be leaving such a big club have enjoyed my time at Luton alot have gained alot of experience and memories I won’t forget.

“Met some genuine boys for life. Would also like to thank all the fans for their great support over these 2 years means alot to me!”

Decisions are also expected over Luton’s other out of contract players like Fraser Franks, Shaun Whalley and Jim Stevenson this week.
