Whalley desperate to prove his worth at Kenilworth Road
The wideman produced some dazzling displays in the warm-up games last year, but after making the starting line-up early on, was reduced to a bit-part role and eventually sent out on loan.
He started this pre-season campaign with a glorious strike against Hitchin and then saw his direct running win a penalty at Barnet on Sunday.

Hide AdBut on the promising signs, an honest Whalley said: “Personally it’s going well, but it did last year and I started off the season poorly.
“I was very disappointed with my form, but hopefully I can start this season a lot better, force my way back in the team and the manager’s plans and do well for Luton.”
Whalley knows he has yet to win over the Hatters fans, but believes they are yet to witness the full package.
Meanwhile, when Town were winning the Conference title at a canter last year, Whalley was picking up his own championship medal too as AFC Telford won the Conference North.
