Michael Harriman: 8 - Determined to extend his stay at the club and it’s easy to see why. Full of energy at right back and a beautiful pass to set up Guttridge’s winner.

Scott Griffiths: 7 - Got forward once more whenever the chance arose and also was another solid link in Town’s defence.

Steve McNulty: 8.5 - Wonderful display from the skipper, who grew in dominance as the game wore on. Such a calm head when the pressure is on, as his passing ability showed.

Luke Wilkinson: 8 - Is there a better central defensive combination than Wilkinson and McNulty. Covered round well and got his sliding challenges spot on.

Nathan Doyle: 7 - Was having a fine game up with some well-timed interventions, up until a blow to the head some him have to be substituted at the interval.

Jonathan Smith: 7 - Passion and commitment is never in doubt, but didn’t quite have the vision he display on Tuesday night this time.

Andy Drury: 7.5 - Close to a first Luton goal early on and relishing the confidence Still is showing in him. Set-plays a constant threat too.

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu: 5 - Looked to be mentally out of sorts from very early on as just nothing went right for Town’s leading light from recent weeks and subbed off before half time.

Alex Lawless: 6.5 - Recalled to the starting line-up, the Welshman displayed some nice touches, but not the impact he had against Oxford.

Mark Cullen: 6.5 - Quiet afternoon for Town’s leading scorer in front of goal, but once again, worked his socks off leading the line.

Paul Benson (SUB): 6.5 - Gave Hatters some added height upfront and linked well as usual. Still desperate for a first goal though.

Jim Stevenson (SUB): Tidy and composed showing from the midfielder who replaced Doyle at the break.

Luke Guttridge (SUB): 7.5 - What an impact. Came close moments after coming on and then showed a magnificent first touch and cool head to win it.
