Dunstable Town made it four wins from four as they hammered Kettering Town 4-0 at Creasey Park on Tuesday evening.

The Blues welcomed back cup-tied Victor Osobu for the clash as Kettering named former Dunstable players Gary Mulligan, Elliot Sandy and Ollie Thorne in their squad.

It took the hosts three minutes to take the lead when David Keenleyside’s corner was powerfully headed home by central defender James Kaloczi.

Blues keeper Paul Bastock then made two saves from sprightly Courtney Baker-Richardson, but Dunstable were close to a second when Osobu fired wide after a strong run.

Danny Talbot’s effort was saved by Enol Ordonez, while Kettering threatened as Liam Canavan was off target, before Brett Solkhon’s header from Will Grocott’s cross hit the post.

Dunstable then struck the woodwork through Osobu, but he then made it 2-0 by beating Richard Bryan and slamming his effort past Ordonez.

Two quickly became three as the unmarked Luke Pennell headed home from a corner, while Talbot fluffed a marvellous chance to put the match out of sight moments before half time.

In the second period, Dunstable continued to assert their authority as Osobu set up Keenleyside to make it 4-0.

As both sides made changes, Talbot fired straight at Ordonez, but the Poppies saw coach Scott Godwin receive a red card for tripping Pennell, having left his technical area to do so.

This weekend, Dunstable visit Cambridge City.
