Rovers boss excited by squad building

BARTON Rovers boss Dan Kennoy is excited with the squad he has assembled at Sharpenhoe Road this season.

The manager said: “We’ve lost a couple of players which happens to every team but we have worked hard to keep a majority of the squad together.

“We’ve added a few new faces so I’m excited about the new season. Nat Peacock has shown what he is all about and he’ll give us something different to what we had last season.

“We also have added former Bedford Town striker Jermaine Hall and he is another player I’m looking forward to working with and getting the best out of.”

Meanwhile, Rovers lost 2-0 at Ampthill Town in their latest pre-season friendly on Tuesday night. Kennoy added: “I was disappointed with the loss but take some positives. All 20 players got 45 minutes and we now know what work is left to be done in pre-season.”
