Rovers cruise through in FA Youth Cup

Barton Rovers U18s cruised into the next round of the FA Youth Cup with a 5-0 win over Stewart & Lloyds Corby on Monday evening.

The visitors started well, taking the lead in the first half through Rob Norman’s header.

Barton ran riot in the second period though as Brad Johnson doubled their lead.

It was then 3-0 on 75 minutes when Cody O’Neil’s excellent header found the net.

Mahmut Caglar notched Rovers’ fourth, before Jack Large completed the rout in the final moments.

Rovers will now travel to either Ware or Skrill Premier side Barnet in the second round qualifying next month.
