Anderson’s volley on 80 minutes brought a fine save from Weatherill as Rovers saw their hold on fifth spot cut to three points by Kettering.

Barton travel to Egham tonight.

Meanwhile, Rovers reached the final of the North Beds Charity Cup with a confident 5-0 win at Molten Spartan SML Division One side Langford on Thursday night.

Rovers took the lead through Kenny Ogbuagu and were 2-0 up thanks to Ryan Smales.

In the second period, a third arrived on 55 minutes when Rob Norman tapped in, while Cody O’Neill added a penalty and Smales completed the scoring late on to set up a final with Ampthill Town.
