The 29-year-old joined Hatters on loan from Bradford City in January and is due to be out of contract at Valley Parade in the summer.
Sheehan has impressed enormously since his move to Luton and when asked if he would like to make it permanent, the Irishman said: “Is it something I’d be open to? Yes.

“I think it’s going really well so far and it’s about enjoying your football.
“I’ve gone to big clubs in the past and not really enjoyed my football and looking back, it is about that.
“There’s been no real talks, as there’s seven games left, so I’m just concentrating on those.

Although Town boss Nathan Jones’ managerial career is still very much in its infancy, Sheehan has seen enough in his short spell so far to know the Luon chief is destined for a bright future in the game.
He continued: “I think this will be the lowest that he manages at, I think he’s going places.
“But we’ve got to buck up our ideas much better if we want to be on the train with him.”

Hide AdSheehan has played alongside Scott Cuthbert in the centre of defence during most of his time at Luton, although the last few games have seen him return to the left back role.
He added: “I’ve played 13 games and since I’ve come here, the majority I’ve done centre back first 11.
“I play wherever, it’s up to the manager, wherever I’m told. Obviously Scott got injured so I had to go back in there (full back) and that’s the way it is sometimes.”
