The 38-year-old leaves Kenilworth Road after six-and-a-half years and just three matches short of 300 appearances for the club.

Signed by former boss Mick Harford in the summer of 2009, Tyler became a huge favourite with the Hatters fans, finally helping the club back into the Football League during the 2013-14 season, keeping 23 clean sheets in the process.

Tyler, who is the second highest appearance maker in Posh history, playing 486 times for the club, will become number two at London Road, while also taking up a coaching role at London Road too.
