UPDATED: Blues net duo as Eagles fly in to sign Dunstable Town defender Bufano

However, Premier Division Bedford Town have flown in to poach 20-year-old Blues centre-half Fabio Bufano, who also had a spell with St Albans City last season.

Director of football John McLoughlin said: “We have signed Jerome Federico from Aylesbury FC and re-signed Jonathan Cooper to strengthen the squad I am speaking to another two this week.”

On Tuesday the Blues were due to host current Molten Spartan SML Premier Division leaders Ampthill, who beat them in a pre-season friendly, in the first round of the Bedfordshire Senior Cup.

Rovers go to Chalfont St Peter on Saturday and Dunstable host Rugby Town, while on Tuesday Dunstable entertain Ashford Town (Middx).
