Dunstable Town completed their unbeaten Molten Spartan SML Premier Division season with a 2-0 win over Hatfield Town on Saturday.

Played in front of 348 fans, Dunstable laboured to victory although they did lead through Phil Siggans’ sixth-minute own goal.

Town went on to hit the bar and the post, while hotshots Tony Burnett and Roache missed easy chances as it wasn’t until two minutes from time Dunstable confirmed victory with their second.

Marc Leach’s canny pass to Roache saw Town’s top striker nudge the ball home for his 55th goal of the season as the party finally started for the worthy champions.
