Manager Dan Kennoy was pleased with his side’s progress but warned his players there is a long way to go.

He said: “To take four points away from home against North Greenford and Marlow is a good return.

“It takes our tally to 21 points now from 10 league games which is a great start.

“We still have a long way to go and the players know that, but we’ll continue to work hard to keep pace at the top end of the table.”

Ex-Arsenal Academy midfielder Ryan Smales gave Rovers’ midfield real quality, with Alex O’Brien also a driving force in the middle.

Rhys Hoeness worked tirelessly down right wing, while Bilal Hassan had several shots on goal in the first half and ran the channels well in the second.

Rovers dominated as they failed to take the numerous chances they created.

Having fallen behind against the run of play Hull levelled.

Bilal Hassan, Bobby Dance, Ricky Case and Hoenes all had chances to win it, but the game finished all square.

Tonight (Tuesday) Barton are at home to Royston Town in the first round of the Red Insure Cup, while on Tuesday week they entertain AFC Hayes in the league.
