GOLF: Sutton turns professional
Former Queensbury School student and Dunstable Downs GC member Robert Sutton has turned pro.
The 2012-13 county champion and three-time player of the year flies to Spain this week to compete in the Gecko Tour. He will play in four tournaments before returning home to take part in the Europro Tour qualifying at Woldingham GC on March 26 and hopefully final qualifying at Frilford Heath GC in April.
A top five finish on this tour would give Sutton the chance of qualifying for the Challenge Tour, where success would mean he could be playing on the main European Tour.
