HOCKEY: Luton held, Chiltern win but Vagrants are beaten

Luton Town HC men’s team drew 2-2 with Wapping IIs in East Men’s League Division Two South on Saturday.

In Division Four South West, the IIs enjoyed a 3-0 home win against West Herts IVs, while Division Seven South West saw the IIIs triumph 5-3 in an eight-goal thriller at Harpenden Vs.

The IVs drew 2-2 at home to Southgate Adelaide IIIs, also in Division Seven South West.

Luton’s ladies were 2-1 winners at Welwyn in their Five Counties Women’s League Premier Division contest, but the seconds went down 2-0 at home to St Neots IIs in Division Three.

Chiltern HC Ladies enjoyed a 3-1 home win over Rickmansworth in their Five Counties Women’s League Division Two clash on Saturday with goals coming from Alexis Broadway (2) and Alison Fleckney.

In Division Three, Chiltern IIs lost 2-1 at Leighton Buzzard IIIs.

A goal from Bethany Carlisle saw Chiltern IIIs win 1-0 at Rickmansworth IIs in Division Five.

Meanwhile, Luton Vagrants went down 7-2 at Stevenage IVs in Division Seven South West of the East Men’s League at the weekend.
