HOCKEY: Luton youngsters impress
In the U8s competition, 14 teams took part as Luton won four of their group games, beating Tring, Bedford, Aylesbury and Letchworth IIs, narrowly losing 3-2 to Shefford and Sandy.
They reached the semi-finals, where they went down 3-0 to Letchworth to face Tring IIs in the third/fourth match, which they won to take the bronze.

At U10 level, Luton won three of their group games, just losing out 1-0 to Bedford IIs as they came runners-up.
This meant they faced Leighton Buzzard IIs in the semi-finals, enjoying a resounding 7-0 victory.
On reaching the final, Luton came then came up against Bedford IIs again.

Hide AdDetermined to avenge their earlier defeat, Luton came out on top 3-1 to triumph.
Luton’s team: Tom Quested, Safa Haq, Kate Starkey, James Small, Katie Behrens, Zack Grinsted, Indiana D’Cruz, Jack Ryan, Tom Ryan.
In a round robin U12 competition, Luton were up against six other local clubs, and won one game, drew three and lost two to finish in fourth.
