IN PICTURES: Tyson Fury visits Luton

HUNDREDS of onlookers gathered at The Mall Luton on Monday to see Tyson Fury spar ahead of his Commonwealth and British Heavyweight title challenge, writes Mark Wood.

Fury has based his training camp for the fight against holder Dereck Chisora at Luton’s Shamrock Gym and was eager to thank the town for its hospitality.

He also visited Hillborough Junior School, the Luton & Dunstable Hospital, Keech Hospice Care and St Margaret’s as part of a tour of the town.

Luton News photographer Jane Russell was on hand to capture the best of the action and Fury, 23, who has an identical record to Chisora with 14-straight wins, said: “I enjoyed it very much. It was very good to come here.

“Quite a few people turned up to watch. It’s a very good opportunity to show the local people that I like to come to different places and do different things.”
