Lancaster Avenue BC hold annual presentation evening

Lancaster Avenue Bowls Club held their annual presentation evening at Tilsworth Golf Club last weekend.

Kevin McCarthy was named Bowler Of The Year after winning the Handicap Singles, Two Woods and Drawn Pairs with Kevin Whadcoat during the season.

Whadcoat also won the Open event, while club captain Patrick Moore triumphed in the Men’s Singles and competitions secretary Christine McCarthy claimed the Ladies Singles honour.

In total, prizes were presented to 20 club members with Janet Millard and John Emerson winning the Drawn Pairs Bowl and Stan Pedder picking up the Captain’s Trophy.

Moore, David Wagstaff and Margaret McCaffrey came out on top in the Memorial Trophy, while Friday Triples winners were John’s Jousters comprising of John Millard, Janet Millard, Margaret McCaffrey, Michael Cox and Carole Spalding. Prizes were presented by club chairperson Denise Burden.
