Luton Diving Club have the golden touch

Luton Diving Club claimed four golds as part of a six-medal haul at the East Regional Club Championships held over the weekends of September 28-29 and October 5-6 in Luton and Southend.

Eight divers entered, with Elliott Browne in the Senior competition with the other seven in the U15 Juniors section.

The first leg of the competition was held at Inspire:Luton Sports Village with competitions taking place on 3m springboard and platform.
Henry Biggs, Josh McAllister, James Cripps and Oliver Simpson all competed in the boys 3m Junior competition.

Biggs dived extremely well as he stormed to gold with a score of 196.55.

McAllister came 10th, scoring 130.65, James 12th with 126.20 and Simpson 13th with 124.95.

Biggs, James Cripps and Simpson then competed on platform where Biggs continued to dominate as he triumphed again with an overall score of 182.90.

Simpson had a fantastic final dive of a forward two-and-a-half somersault to score 39.60 and finish sixth with 151.45.

Luton DC’s Luton Challenge takes place at the Inspire:Luton Sports Village from Friday, November 22 to Sunday, November 24.
